Why do these collections also appear on /smart-contracts?

Every QRC-721 and QRC-1155 collection IS a smart contract — so it lives in two places at once. /top-nft is the opinionated leaderboard for collectors: ranked by holders, focused on collection name + items + holders. /smart-contracts is the full QRVM catalogue for developers and auditors: every deployed contract regardless of type, with verification status, deployer, and call activity. Same data, different lens.

What is an NFT on QRL 2.0, and how is it different from a fungible token?

An NFT (non-fungible token) on QRL 2.0 is a smart-contract token where each unit is uniquely identifiable by its tokenId. QRC-20 fungible tokens are interchangeable: 1 USDC == 1 USDC. QRC-721 and QRC-1155 NFTs are not: tokenId #5 of a collection is a specific, distinct asset from tokenId #6. The contract still emits Transfer events, but with an extra `tokenId` parameter that disambiguates which specific NFT moved.

What's the difference between QRC-721 and QRC-1155?

QRC-721 is the standard for one-of-one collectibles — each tokenId is unique and has exactly one owner (think CryptoPunks). QRC-1155 is the multi-token standard — one contract can hold many tokenIds where each tokenId can have multiple copies (think gaming items: a sword has 10 copies, an exclusive shield has 1). Both standards live on this hub; the small pill on each row tells you which standard a collection uses.

How is QRC-721 different from Ethereum's ERC-721?

QRC-721 is byte-for-byte the same standard interface as ERC-721 — same function signatures (ownerOf, transferFrom, tokenURI), same Transfer event hash. The 'QRC' prefix signals the deployment context: these contracts live on QRL 2.0's EVM-compatible chain, signed by the underlying account with post-quantum ML-DSA-87 instead of Ethereum's ECDSA. Tools and wallets written for ERC-721 work on QRC-721 without code changes.

Are QRL 2.0 NFTs quantum-resistant?

At the ownership layer, yes. Every QRL 2.0 transaction — including NFT mints and moves — is authorised by a post-quantum ML-DSA-87 signature, not Ethereum's ECDSA, so a quantum attacker can't forge your key to steal an NFT. This is QRL's core differentiator. Note: the artwork or metadata an NFT points to (often off-chain via tokenURI) sits outside the chain's protection.

How are collections ranked on this page?

By default, the list is sorted by owner count — the most-held collections float to the top. You can switch via the sort dropdown to rank by lifetime transfers, most active in the last 24 hours (transfers_24h), or newest (most recently deployed). Owner count is the strongest single signal of a real, used collection vs an empty deploy.

If a wallet holds several NFTs from a collection, is that one owner or many?

One. Owners counts unique holder addresses, not how many NFTs each holds — a wallet with 50 tokenIds from a collection still counts once. We derive it from every Transfer event, net of mints and the contract's own holdings. For QRC-1155, owner count can even exceed Total Assets, since many wallets can each hold a copy of the same tokenId.

Why no floor price, volume or sales columns like Etherscan's Top NFTs?

Etherscan's 'Top NFTs' shows Floor Price, 24h Volume, Sales and Change% — all four require marketplace integration (OpenSea, LooksRare, Blur, etc.) plus a sale-event indexer. On QRL 2.0 testnet no NFT marketplace has been deployed yet, so there are simply no sale events to read. We could fake a 0 ETH floor but that would be worse than omitting the column. When marketplaces ship, a dedicated /nft-trades page will decode their sale events with prices.

What does Total Assets mean — is it the same as Total Supply?

Total Assets = the number of distinct tokenIds ever minted by this collection (counted as uniq(token_id) over all Transfer events where from = Q0000…0000, the zero/mint address). For QRC-721 collections this equals the collection size — one tokenId is one-of-one NFT. For QRC-1155 it's the number of distinct categories, NOT the sum of copies: a single QRC-1155 tokenId can have 10,000 copies and only counts as 1 toward Total Assets. The 'Items' column on the old layout meant the same thing — we renamed to 'Total Assets' to align with Etherscan's terminology.

Mints 24h vs Transfers 24h — what's the difference?

Both look at the last 24 hours. Transfers 24h counts ALL Transfer events (mints + burns + wallet-to-wallet moves). Mints 24h counts ONLY events where the FROM address is the all-zero address (Q000…000), which by QRC-721/1155 convention means a brand-new tokenId being created. A high Mints 24h with high Transfers 24h = active drop in progress. High Transfers 24h with zero Mints 24h = the collection is fully minted and only secondary moves are happening. Zero on both = dormant.

Why do some collections show no metadata (name, image)?

Metadata (name, symbol) is fetched on-demand via `qrl_call` the first time we encounter a contract, then cached in our backend. The fetch status is one of 'ok', 'partial', or 'failed' — failed means the contract's view functions reverted, didn't exist, or returned non-standard data. We still show the row to keep the indexed catalogue honest, but render it without a fake name. Per-tokenId metadata (image, attributes via `tokenURI`) isn't fetched yet — it requires following an IPFS/HTTPS link per token.

How is a new NFT collection detected and added to this list?

Our ETL watches every block's receipt logs for Transfer events. The first time it sees a contract emit a QRC-721/1155-shaped event, it probes the contract via `supportsInterface(0x80ac58cd)` for QRC-721 or `0xd9b67a26` for QRC-1155 to confirm the standard, then caches the result. From that moment the contract appears on this list and its Transfer events feed /nft-transfers and /nft-mints.

Where do I buy or sell NFTs on QRL 2.0?

QRL 2.0 is in early testnet — no NFT marketplaces have been deployed yet, so there are no sale-event feeds to surface on Quantascan. The Transfer events you see here are mints, burns, and wallet-to-wallet transfers (the chain primitives), not market activity. When marketplaces ship, a dedicated /nft-trades page will decode their sale events with prices.

Owners: Distinct addresses currently holding at least one token from this collection. This is the default sort — a stable signal of how widely a collection is held.
Total Assets: Number of distinct tokens ever minted by this collection.
Transfers: Lifetime count of NFT movements for this collection, including mints and burns. One transaction can produce several.
Transfers 24h: Movements in the last 24 hours — a liveness signal. Sort by Most active (24h) to surface collections changing hands right now.
Mints 24h: New tokens minted in the last 24 hours. A jump here usually means the collection is actively launching items.
