What is a QRC-721 collection?

QRC-721 is QRL 2.0's non-fungible token standard (the EVM ERC-721 equivalent). A collection is one contract that mints uniquely-numbered tokens, each individually owned and transferable.

How is the current owner of a token determined?

From the on-chain transfer log: the recipient of a token's most recent transfer is its current owner. A token whose last transfer sent it to the zero address has been burned and has no owner.

Why is there no collection name or image?

Accepted Answer

Names, symbols and artwork come from the contract's optional metadata and off-chain token URIs, which aren't always present or indexed yet. When unavailable, the collection is identified by its contract address.

Per-token provenance is on each token's page. Collection-wide activity is on the NFT transfers and NFT mints feeds.
