How donors are recognised

Donations aren't bought with perks or paywalled features — instead, support is recognised in the open:

  • Public by default. Every donation appears in the recent-donations feed — verifiable on-chain, linked to the transaction.
  • A Supporter badge. Any address that donates more than 1 Quanta earns a Supporter badge on its wallet page.

FAQ about donations

Common questions about this page
Why donate to Quantascan?
Quantascan is a free, ad-free, independent explorer and public API for the Quantum Resistant Ledger. It runs on real infrastructure — servers, a full node and a domain — that costs about $1.15 a day to keep online. Donations keep it independent, with no ads and no paywalls.
Where does the money go?
Running costs — server and node hosting plus the domain that keep the site and API live, about $1.15 a day in total. This page shows what a gift of a given size covers in days of hosting, so you can see the impact of any amount you send.
Which chain do I donate on?
Today, donations are accepted on the original Proof-of-Work QRL chain at the address shown on this page. When QRL 2.0 mainnet launches, donations will move to a QRL 2.0 address and the totals will carry over — the fundraise is counted as one continuous effort across the migration, never reset.
Is my donation public?
Yes. Donations are on-chain transfers, so they're public and verifiable by anyone. Each one appears in the recent-donations feed, linked back to the transaction.
Do I get anything in return?
Recognition, not rewards. There's no swag and no paywalled features — deliberately. Donors are recognised publicly in the recent-donations feed, and any address that donates more than 1 Quanta earns an on-chain Supporter badge on its wallet page.
How do I donate?
Open your QRL wallet, start a send, copy the donation address from this page and paste it as the recipient, then enter any amount and confirm. You choose the amount — there's no minimum, and even a few Quanta helps.
