QRL Monthly Report: October 2026
QRL in October: activity −6%, net 288K Quanta out of exchanges
In October 2026, QRL mainnet recorded 3,694 transactions (−6.5% on the month before) and an average of 175 active addresses a day. Exchanges saw a net outflow of 287,587 QRL: 640,762 QRL went in and 928,349 QRL came out. 3 of the 5 largest reducers sent 145,000 Quanta to exchanges, one of them a holder since 2018. −156 holders, the biggest monthly drop in 3 years. The largest single transfer moved 327,489 QRL. Miners produced 45,165 blocks, creating 57,999 QRL of new supply.
Activity
How much the QRL mainnet was used: user transactions, the addresses active on an average day, and addresses that appeared for the first time.
What the largest holders did
The 300 largest QRL balances at the start or the end of the period, and how each changed. A wallet that moved its whole balance to a brand-new address is shown separately and not counted as a reduction. A lower balance is not proof of a sale: coins may move to the holder's own wallet. Coins sent to an exchange are the closest on-chain signal of selling.

Largest reductions
Largest additions
Moved to a new address (not counted)
Top 300 = the largest balances at the start or the end of the period. Exchange wallets, their deposit addresses and the 2018 genesis distributor are not holders and are left out. QRL wallets often move to a fresh address, because an XMSS key can only sign a limited number of times.
Distribution
How many addresses hold QRL, how many wallets sit in each size band and how many crossed a band during the period. Exchange wallets and their deposit addresses are not counted in the bands.
−156 holders, the biggest monthly drop in 3 years.
21 wallets moved up a size band and 10 moved down; 55 new wallets reached 1,000 QRL and 22 were emptied. The ten largest addresses hold 30.47% of supply.
More: distribution.
Exchange flows
QRL moving onto and off exchanges, including the personal deposit addresses exchanges give their users. Coins leaving exchanges usually go into self-custody; coins arriving are usually there to be traded.
Exchanges held 4,315,648 QRL at the end of the period, against 4,603,333 QRL at the start.
Largest net moves per exchange
- MEXC-247,448 QRL
- XT 3-14,999 QRL
- Biconomy-13,897 QRL
- Tapbit-7,120 QRL
Methodology: exchange flow.
Largest transfers
The biggest QRL transfers between different owners. Movements inside one exchange (a deposit address sweeping into its hot wallet) are left out.
Old coins on the move
Coin-days destroyed weighs every coin that moved by how long it had been idle, so a high value means long-held coins changed hands. Compared with the average of the twelve periods before.
Largest move by a wallet idle for over a year: 20,000 QRL from Q00040…2381, its first move since Jun 2025.
Mining
Blocks produced on the proof-of-work chain, the new coins they created and the average network hash power.
Top miners by blocks
- Q01060…e6d136,648 (81.1%)
- Q01050…31937,769 (17.2%)
- Q01080…cad9619 (1.4%)
Supply & holders
Coins in existence at the end of the period, against the fixed maximum supply, and how widely they are held.
QRL 2.0 testnet
Activity on the QRL 2.0 testnet (proof-of-stake, smart contracts, ML-DSA-87 signatures). Testnet coins have no value and are never added to the mainnet figures.
Testnet activity, signed with ML-DSA-87. Reported separately and never added to the mainnet figures above.
Period: 2026-10-01 to 2026-11-01 (end exclusive, UTC). QRL mainnet unless stated. Figures are recalculated from the indexed chain data, so they can shift slightly when that data is corrected.
About this report
Quantascan publishes a weekly report every Monday and a monthly report on the first day of each month, covering the QRL proof-of-work mainnet. Weeks run Monday to Sunday and months follow the calendar, both in UTC.
Every figure is computed from blocks Quantascan indexed itself. Exchange figures include the personal deposit addresses that exchanges hand out, which Quantascan detects from on-chain behaviour. Amounts are whole QRL.
The figures are recalculated from the indexed data rather than frozen, so they can shift slightly if that data is corrected after publication. Nothing here is financial advice. You are free to quote the figures; please link back to this page.
