Can I mine QRL with a CPU?

Yes. QRandomX is deliberately CPU-favoured and resistant to specialised ASIC hardware, so general-purpose processors stay competitive. Today you can still mine QRL solo or through a community pool; the top miners and pools leaderboard shows who is currently producing blocks.

What is the QRL block reward?

Each mined block pays its miner a protocol subsidy plus the transaction fees in that block. The subsidy follows QRL's decaying emission schedule and shrinks over time toward the 105M maximum supply — see how block rewards and emission work.

Does QRL have halvings like Bitcoin?

No. Instead of abrupt halving events, QRL uses a smooth decaying schedule, so each block pays slightly less than the one before as emission winds down toward the 105M cap. An address is labelled a mining pool when it has mined a large number of blocks (or distributes rewards to many addresses); smaller coinbase earners — addresses that receive a block's mining reward — are shown as solo miners. Labels come from Quantascan's wallet-classification engine and curated pool names. The genesis premine is excluded — it is not mining.

Will QRL still be mined after the move to QRL 2.0?

No. Once QRL completes its transition to QRL 2.0 (Proof-of-Stake), new coins are secured by validators rather than miners, and no further QRL is mined. The original Proof-of-Work chain then becomes a permanent read-only archive, so this mining record stays viewable as history.
