Velocity measures how actively coins are being used: the value transferred on-chain each day, annualized and divided by the circulating supply, drawn as one continuous line from the original Proof-of-Work chain into QRL 2.0. A value of 1 means an amount equal to the whole supply changed hands over a year; a low value means most coins are sitting still (store-of-value behaviour). Like the
inflation rate, it is a pure on-chain measure — it needs no market price.
