What you get
Generous limits
100,000 calls a day, shared across up to 5 keys, and 300 calls a minute per key (5 per second). Enough for a production dashboard, bot or app.
Commercial use allowed
Build products, dashboards, bots, wallets and apps on the data. The only condition is a visible “Powered by Quantascan” link.
Both chains, full history
QRL since its 2018 genesis and QRL 2.0: blocks, transactions, addresses, tokens, validators and daily time series, behind one REST API.
QRL-native analytics
Exchange flows, whale activity, holder distribution, the rich list and XMSS signature data — the QRL-specific analytics generic data providers don't carry. Included on the free plan.
Honest limits
A real HTTP 429 with Retry-After when you hit a limit, X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, X-RateLimit-Reset and X-API-Plan headers on every keyed response, and GET /api/v1/usage to check where you stand.
Webhooks
Signed POSTs to your server when a watched address or token contract moves: deposit detection without polling, with retries and reorg follow-ups. The free plan includes 2 endpoints and 25 watched addresses.
Drop-in compatible, plus JSON-RPC
An endpoint in the module/action format most explorer clients already speak, so existing client code only needs a new base URL, and a standard JSON-RPC endpoint for QRL 2.0 wallets and libraries.
CSV export and finality
Per-address CSV exports for tax and accounting, with daily USD prices where available, and a confirmation count plus a finalized flag on every QRL 2.0 transaction.
OpenAPI spec, 90 days' notice
Download /openapi.json to generate a typed client or hand it to an AI coding tool. Breaking changes are announced at least 90 days ahead.

FAQ about the free API
Common questions about this page
- How do the rate limits work?
- There is a daily quota that is shared across all your keys, plus a burst limit per minute for each key. On the free plan that is 100,000 calls a day and 300 calls a minute per key. The daily quota resets at 00:00 UTC. Going over either limit returns HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header; GET /api/v1/usage and the X-RateLimit-* response headers show where you stand.
- Can I use the free API commercially?
- Yes. You can use it in commercial products and services, as long as you show the attribution described below.
- What does attribution mean exactly?
- Show a visible “Powered by Quantascan” text or badge that links to https://quantascan.io on every page or screen that shows the data. In apps and command-line tools, put it in the about or credits screen and in your documentation. The attribution kit has copy-paste snippets.
- Are there paid plans?
- Not yet. If you need higher limits, bulk data or custom endpoints, contact us and tell us what you're building.
- What uptime can I expect?
- Live status and a 90-day uptime history are public on the status page. The free API comes without an SLA.
